Talk about doing the nasty.

A crew of 25 cops undergoing bicycle patrol training in Upper Darby on Tuesday around 4 p.m. happened upon a couple on a bench at Naylor’s Run Park.

“The woman is bent over,” said Michael Chitwood, Upper Darby Police Department superintendent. “No pants on. And the guy is standing behind her, and he’s jamming her away.”

Once a year, the Upper Darby Police Department trains and certifies officers from surrounding areas in bicycle patrolling. Classroom work is the first day, but the remaining four days are spent in the streets of the West Philly suburb.

Luckily for them, class on Tuesday wasn’t boring.

The pack of officers rode up on Richard McBride, 37, of North Philadelphia, and Jennifer Harvey, 41, of Clifton Heights, getting down on the first-base side of a softball diamond.

“The guys on the bikes were just as shocked as the two people who were involved in this sexual activity,” Chitwood said.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, Chitwood added. “And, you know, nobody’s a prude — who can’t have sex in a park? — but at 4 o’clock in the afternoon? And there’s kids running around and everything else?”

The lovebirds were charged with open lewdness and disorderly conduct.
