Another sexual assault in the Beacon Hill neighborhood has Bostonians on high alert.

The Boston Police Department said in a statement that a woman was walking down Brimmer Street towards the Charles/MGH MBTA station on the flat of the hill when a man approached her while walking in the other direction. He assaulted her before fleeing up Chestnut Street towards Charles Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 20’s, 5’10″ in height, 160-170 lbs, slim to medium build, dark brown shaggy hair, parted in the middle, no facial hair, clear skin with olive complexion, wearing a dark blue polo shirt with red polo logo, medium straight leg jeans and dark color sneakers.

In June, there was several other incidents of sexual assault on Beacon Hill. Police are investigating whether the the situations are connected, but have not yet established a solid connection.

Anyone with information is asked to call District A-1 (downtown) detectives at 617-343-4248 or the Sexual Assault Unit at 617-343-4400.
