SPCA pulls 25 dead cats from freezer in Lehigh Valley home
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals last week reportedly removed 25 dead cats from a Bethlehem home that may have had as many as 100 cats living in it.
The SPCA reportedly retrieved the 25 dead cats from a freezer, where a woman who lives in the home on the 1500 block of Easton Avenue had placed them after wrapping them and noting how each had died, the Express-Times reports.
The dead cats were recovered last Thursday.
The SPCA also took 20 ill cats from the home, but left as many as 60 more with the homeowners, who agreed to sign over ownership of the sick cats to the SPCA.
The SPCA is working on a plan to remove more of the cats from the home.
