Infant among four injured in Kensington shootings
An infant was among four people injured in separate but seemingly related overnight gunfire in Kensington.
The two shootings happened early this morning, and police believe the two incidents are connected, 6ABC Action News reports.
The first shooting left a 19-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his chest. It happened on the 2800 block of North 20th Street. A 36-year-old female bystander was struck by a stray bullet.
A 3-week-old boy was injured by falling glass from a storm door struck by a stray bullet in gunfire on the 3200 block of Rorer Street about 2:30 a.m. Bullets came within inches of striking one baby inside the home, according to the report.
Philadelphia police say the intended target, a 19-year-old man, was shot in his leg and torso as he exited a taxi there. He was hospitalized in stable condition.
