Accused Amy Lord killer due in court
A man who investigators believe kidnapped and stabbed 24-year-old Amy Lord in South Boston last month is due in court Wednesday to face charges he attacked two other women around the time of the killing.
Edwin Alemany, 29, is expected to return to South Boston District Court tomorrow for arraignment on a pair of complaints charging non-fatal attacks on women on July 23 and July 24.
Alemany was arrested for those incidents on July 24, but at his first court appearance the next day was sent for a mental health evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital.
While Alemany was held at the secure facility, prosecutors approved a warrant charging him with murder in the July 23 homicide of Amy Lord, whose body was found in the Stony Brook Reservation. He is expected to face arraignment on that charge on Thursday in West Roxbury District Court.
