Dog shot in Holmesburg home invasion
A dog was shot in a home invasion-style burglary in Philadelphia’s Holmesburg section early this morning.
The violent incident happened about 3:45 a.m. on the 8200 block of Frankford Avenue, police said.
At least one male armed with a gun entered the home through the front door, then shot the dog, according to police.
Nothing was reported stolen in the home invasion.
CBS Philly reports as many as four males were involved in the crime.
A police spokeswoman did not have an update on the dog’s condition available at about 8:45 a.m.
