Police are looking for a man who threatened to kidnap a girl during a robbery in Staten Island Sunday night.

At 10:45 p.m., a 41-year-old woman and her 4-year-old daughter were approached by a Hispanic man in his thirties at a bus stop on Forest Avenue in Elm Park.

Cops said the man stuck a sharp object in the back of the woman.

“Give me your bag or I’m taking your daughter,” the man then said, according to police.

The suspect grabbed the child’s hand and let go before taking the woman’s purse and fleeing northwest on Barrett Avenue.

The victims were not injured during the robbery.

Police said the suspect has a stocky build, weighs roughly 200 pounds and is 5’5” tall. He was wearing a baseball cap, black t-shirt, grey shorts and black and white sneakers.

Cops ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
