Philadelphia police have identified the body of a teen found Monday morning brutally shot to death at a Bustleton construction site as that of Daquan Crump, 19.

Crump, who had no criminal history, was discovered around 7:20 a.m. in a remote lot located at 10175 Northeast Ave.

He had been shot 10 to 12 times in the head and face.

“It was a very, very brutal murder,” Capt. James Clark of the Homicide Unit said.

“It would appear to be very, very personal.”

Crump was last seen around 11 p.m. Saturday night leaving his job at a Wendy’s not far from where his body was found.

Investigators recovered from the scene Crump’s backpack with his Wendy’s uniform still inside, and said that robbery does not appear to be a motive in the slaying.

Police are attempting to determine Crump’s killer, as well as the victim’s whereabouts between Saturday night and around 5:30 a.m. Monday, when police believe he was shot to death execution-style.

“He lives with his mother and also his grandmother – he goes back and forth,” Clark said.

“We know he wasn’t with either one of them that night.”

Clark said it was also common for Crump to stay at the homes of girlfriends or friends, but interviews with friends have not yet proved fruitful.

“We have detectives back out on the scene, recanvassing the whole area, doing neighborhoods, checking for video – hopefully from that, we’ll get something,” he said.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call 911, to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or 3335, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477), texting PPD TIP (773847), emailing tips@phillypolice.com or by filling out this online form.
