Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man masquerading as a restaurant employee who is suspected of stealing money on two separate occasions from a North Wilmington eatery and convenience store.

Investigators said the first incident happened Sunday at Harry’s Savoy Grill, located at 2020 Naamans Rd., while it was open for business.

The male suspect allegedly waited for no employees to be nearby, entered the restaurant’s office and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the same man the next day entered the Dash In convenience store at 5301 Concord Pk., this time accompanied by a woman.

The woman allegedly distracted a store employee while the man entered the store’s office and again stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was during both thefts dressed like a restaurant employee, wearing a white shirt, black tie, black pants and a black apron, according to authorities.

He is described as a 5-foot-10-inch tall black male with a heavy build.

The female suspect is described as a 5-foot-5-inch black woman with an average build. She was last seen wearing a gray pantsuit.

Anyone with information on the suspects or crimes is asked to call 911, to contact Troop 1 at 302-761-6677 ext. 308, or to submit an anonymous tip by texting CRIMES (274637) with the keyword “DSP,” calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, by downloading the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip App or by filling out this online form.
