Police are looking for two men caught on camera early Aug. 31 blasting a man with a shotgun after a prolonged struggle broke out during a robbery in West Oak Lane.

Investigators said the victim, 28, was shortly before 1 a.m. inside the Golden Chinese Restaurant, located at 7228 Ogontz Ave., when two unknown men armed with a sawed-off shotgun came inside.

One of the men pointed the shotgun at the victim as the second suspect went through his pockets.

The victim can be seen on surveillance video lunging at one suspect after the other man snatched the victim’s belt from his waist.

He at first appears to have gotten the best of his assailant, but the second suspect can soon be seen attempting to pry the two apart, then joining in and beating the victim.

The three men became locked in a struggle over the shotgun that lasted for more than three minutes, according to investigators.

Police said the victim was during the altercation shot once in the hip area.

He fled the store and contacted police, while the two suspects ran away in an unknown direction.

One suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s with a medium build, a goatee and twisted braids in his hair. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a slim build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing dark-colored pants and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt emblazoned on the front with “Rise and Grind” and with a logo on the back reading “Blood Money Entertainment.”

Anyone with information on the suspects or crime is asked to call 911, to contact the Northwest Detectives Division at 215-686-3053 or 3054, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477), texting PPD TIP (773847), emailing tips@phillypolice.com or by filling out this online form.
