Police arrested Gary Sarback, 61, on Tuesday in connection with an Aug. 22 robbery and assault on a police officer.

Sarback, a Florida resident, was found in Queens, cops said, near Steinway and 31st avenues. He is being charged with attempted murder of a police officer, assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle and criminal possession of stolen property.

The NYPD said Sarback mugged a 49-year-old Asian woman in East Elmhurst on Aug. 22. She chased him back to his truck and was dragged by the truck as he took off.

Police discovered that the truck had been reported stolen in Florida two days earlier. The stolen property report stated there was a gun in the car when it was stolen.

About four hours later, uniformed officers in a marked cop car saw the truck elsewhere in Queens and attempted to pull it over. Shots were fired, cops said, and one of the officers was hit with the truck as the truck driver fled the scene.

The truck was later found abandoned in Queens.
