Edwin “Jay” Mieses, the Lawrence, Mass. biker who was run over by an SUV driver on the West Side Highway on Sunday, is still in bad shape at St. Luke’s Hospital, his supporters and family said on Facebook.

The incident occurred during a “Hollywood Stuntz” ride in Manhattan and was almost entirely captured on video by a helmet-cam. The SUV driver Alexian Lien ended up badly beaten by a group of bikers. One of the bikers turned himself in on Tuesday but on Wednesday the Manhattan District Attorney declined to prosecute him. The NYPD is still continuing their investigation into the bikers involved in the assault.

Mieses’ supporters are planning a silent prayer outside the hospital from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

The NYPD said bikers planned meet up at Bushwick and Jamaica Avenues in Brooklyn around 6:30 p.m., though as of 6:20 p.m. no one had arrived.

The plan is to then take off for St. Luke’s Hospital at 7 p.m. for the three hour vigil and fundraiser.

The NYPD is planning to inspect all bikes at the meeting point in Brooklyn. No dirt bikes or ATVs are allowed to participate, police said.

The bikers will be escorted by NYPD Highway Patrol units. They plan to take Grand Central Parkway to the Triborough Bridge then ride over to 125th Street.
