A mother and her 11-day-old baby were found dead in a home in Brownsville, Brooklyn Thursday morning, police reported.

Margarine Lyons, 34, was found by her brother when he noticed his two 6-year-old nephews were still at home instead of in school Thursday morning, police said.

Police said he went upstairs to check on their mother and found her on her bed, not breathing.

11-day-old Preston Warren Alexander was underneath her, also not breathing.

He called 911 around 10:03 a.m. then ran outside and flagged down a cop car, police said.

Lyons was pronounced dead at the scene, but the baby was rushed to Brookdale Hospital. He ultimately did not survive either.

The Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death, while the police continue their investigation. Police said there were no visible signs of trauma to either the mother or the baby, and no suicide note found.

A bottle of Oxycodone with six pills missing was found at the scene, police said, but they don’t think either victim died of an overdose.
