Suspect in custody after woman and four young children are stabbed to death in their Brooklyn home
Police have a man in custody after a woman and her four young children were stabbed to death in their Brooklyn home Saturday night.
Cops said the 25-year-old suspect, who has not been otherwise identified, remained overnight at the 66th Precinct after he was taken into custody from the scene of the Sunset Park stabbing.
The nature of his relationship to the victims is still under investigation, police said.
Officers found Qiao Zhen Li, 37, with multiple stab wounds to her upper body around 10:44 p.m. in her 57th Street home. Her four children, all under 10-years-old, had similar injuries.
Police said a potential murder weapon was recovered from the scene, but did not elaborate further.
Linda Zhuo, 9, Amy Zhuo, 7, and William Zhuo, 18 months old, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Li and her 5-year-old son, Kevin Zhuo, were rushed to nearby hospitals where they pronounced dead.
The children’s father was at the crime scene when officers arrived, police said. He is not being treated as a suspect.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
