The suspect accused of stabbing five people, including a toddler, in Manhattan’s Riverside Park earlier this month was indicted on Tuesday.

Julius Graham, 43, is accused of attacking five strangers in Riverside Park near West 64th Street about 8 a.m. on Oct. 1. He used two blades from a broken pair of scissors to randomly stab five people in a matter of minutes, according to the Manhattan DA’s office.

A good Samaritan who witnessed the stabbings brought the suspect to the ground and was able to hold him until police officers arrived at the scene.

“Julius Graham is accused of embarking on a stabbing rampage on a peaceful autumn morning when hundreds of New Yorkers were out enjoying a public park,” said Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. in a statement. “He not only injured five people, including an 18-month-old child, but destroyed the sense of safety and respite that all New Yorkers have a right to feel in their city parks.”

Graham was indicted in Manhattan Supreme Court with five counts each of first- and second-degree attempted murder, among other related charges.
