The man identified by Philadelphia police last month as responsible for the Oct. 2 beating of a blind man in Germantown was arrested Friday morning.

Pennsylvania parole officers and U.S. Marshals arrested Mustafa Guyton, 29, on the 5400 block of Master Street about 8 a.m. Friday, 6ABC Action News reports.

The brutal beating of the 33-year-old blind man at Seymour Street and Wayne Avenue was caught on surveillance video. It showed the man identified by police as Guyton hit the victim, knock him to the ground, then kick and stomp him, causing injuries to his face and head.

Guyton is charged with assault and related charges in connection with the attack.

According to court documents, Guyton has a sizable rap sheet.

He was in 2008 sentenced to two to five years in prison, followed by three years of probation, after pleading guilty to felony offenses of aggravated assault and carrying an unlicensed firearm.

He was in 2004 sentenced to 365 to 728 days in prison after pleading guilty to robbery in Delaware County.
