Mayor-Elect Bill de Blasio said that he and Police Comissioner Ray Kelly “cleared the air” last week after Playboy published an interview in which the top cop agreed with the suggestion that the Democratic mayoral candidates were “full of s—.”

De Blasio said the two were “moving forward” after speaking Friday.

“I’m not going to get into the details of the conversation but it was a good conversation and we cleared the air and we’re moving forward,” de Blasio said Saturday after an appearance at the National Action Network in Harlem.

Throughout the campaign, de Blasio was an outspoken critic of Kelly’s implementation of the NYPD’s practice of stop-and-frisk, promising to replace the commissioner if elected.

“I have worked with him for over 20 years, respect him, obviously disagree with him on some core issues,” de Blasio said of their relationship. “I’m certain we’re going to have an effective transition.”

The mayor-elect said he has a “clear agenda” and that he was sure Kelly would help in the transition process.

  1. GOD!
    SOME New Yorkers
(like Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, Mayor Bloombucks, Trump, and Giuliani)
have an EGO bigger than my wife’s behind!
    And they smell as sweet.
They think they’re God’s gift to the world.
Hey guys, listen up. The next time we have an opening for a dictator,
    we’ll let you know. Definitely.
But don’t call us- we’ll call you.
In the meantime, Mr. Kelly: I suggest that you man up!!!
Don’t be a cry-baby. Get off your high horse, and send out those resumes.
‘Cause YOU don’t own the New York police department, Ray.
The PEOPLE of New York City, and their ELECTED representatives, do.
    Psst Ray …it’s called Democracy.
