Bronx man accused of fatally stabbing brother in the head
A Bronx man was arrested for fatally stabbing his older brother in the head during an argument in their apartment Wednesday morning, police said.
Dayshawn Lawson, 21, was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon after police said he stabbed his brother Andre, 22, in the head about 3:56 a.m. during a dispute in their Claremont apartment.
Officers found Andre with a stab wound to his head in their home in Morris Houses. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where police said he was later pronounced dead.
Police arrested Dayshawn at the scene and charged him.
Other people were in the room during the incident, police said, but were not involved in the dispute.
It was not immediately clear if Dayshawn had an attorney.
