Driver killed after crashing into vacant Queens storefront
A driver was killed after crashing into a vacant Queens storefront near an exit ramp on the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge on Tuesday.
Police said the 36-year-old woman, whose identity has not been released, hit a guard rail while exiting the bridge in a Ford about 1:52 a.m. in Long Island City.
The car then struck a cement barrier and overturned before striking a vacant store on Queens Plaza South.
The driver was alone in the car, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
