Storrow Drive closes due to flooding
Massachusetts State Police were forced to shut down Storrow Drive on Thursday morning due to flooding.
The inbound lanes of Storrow Drive Tunnel were closed so crews could fix problem and get the roadway reopened. State police announced that significant delays are expected for drivers, and all cars are being rerouted to Clarendon Street and Berkeley Street in Back Bay.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation previously announced that on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., roadway repairs would be underway along eastbound Storrow Drive, at the entrance to the tunnel. These repairs require a single lane closure of the high speed lane on Thursday, and the low speed lane on Friday.
