The Daily family of Westford was devastated when their home burned down on Thursday, but the kindness of strangers has given them a positive outlook for the future.

The community has rallied around the Daily’s, donating money, gift cards, and clothing to help them get back on their feet.

An ambulance full of donated items was given to the family, who were put up in a local hotel by the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts.  Toys for Tots also offered to donate toys for the kids, ages 16, 12, and 9,  while a GoFundMe page has reached over $7000 of its $10,000 goal. CVS Westford/CVS Littleton are donating toiletries and will have boxes to collect donated items.

While clothing donations are not needed anymore, money and gift cards can be dropped off at any of the 3 manned Westford Fire Stations.

In a statement on their Facebook page, the Westford Fire Department announced that “the Daily Family wanted to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all the support and kindness shown to them during this very difficult time and wanted to wish all of you a great Christmas as well.”

Those looking to donate to the family can visit their Go Fund Me page, or donate cash to the Daily Family Fund, Northern Bank & Trust, 45 Main St, Westford MA 01886.
