A Philadelphia man has been charged with 79 counts of second-degree forgery after authorities nabbed him and another man in a counterfeit Super Bowl ticket scheme, officials with the Queens County district attorney announced.

Eugene Fladger, 32, of Williams Avenue in East Mount Airy, along with 43-year-old Damon Daniels of Queens and the Bronx, were allegedly trying to sell tickets to Sunday’s big game in New York as well as parking passes, tickets to the NFL Honors Party at Radio City Music Hall, tickets to the NFL Commissioner’s Party at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and 69 other tickets to various events.

Authorities said all the forged tickets had the official NFL logo and replicated bar code on them. The printing was washed out, the DA’s office said, there was a misprint on the back and the tickets were cut improperly. Security features were missing, too.

Daniels and Fladger are awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court. In addition to the forgery charges, both men are being charged with 79 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, three counts of criminal possession of a forgery devices, one count of criminal possession of computer-related material, 79 counts of second-degree trademark counterfeiting and one count of fifth-degree conspiracy.

If convicted, they could each face up to seven years in prison.
