Two teens charged in Northeast ‘knockout game’ attack
Philadelphia police have charged two teens in connection with a so-called “knockout game” attack Tuesday in Rhawnhurst.
A third suspect remains at large, NBC 10 reported.
A student at Woodrow Wilson Middle School was assaulted at Cottman Avenue and Large Street as he walked home from school. One of the three teens recorded the attack, then posted the video on Facebook. The victim had to be treated at a local hospital.
Police became aware of the attack only after a concerned parent reported seeing the video. After investigating the incident, police arrested a high-school student as one of the two teens who attacked the victim and a middle-school student who took the video. Each was charged with simple assault and conspiracy.
