A 24-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot by the person who had snatched his girlfriend’s purse in North Philadelphia overnight.
Police picked up the shooting victim near 26th Street and Lehigh Avenue early Friday and took him to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest, NBC10 reports. The suspect snatched the purse as the victims were leaving a home in the area just before midnight.
The shooter remains on the loose. Police have only described the suspect as a thin male and with a tattoo on his face, but are reviewing surveillance videos from the area.
The robber tossed the victim’s purse after taking $300, according to the report.
Philadelphia police are still searching for the person who shot and killed 26-year-old Amber Long during a purse snatching in Northern Liberties on Jan. 19.
The shooting victim chased after the suspect, who turned and fired one shot from a revolver.
