Philip Seymour Hoffman’s cause of death remains undetermined after autopsy
Pending further tests, actor Philip Seymour Hoffman’s cause of death remained undetermined Wednesday, according to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
Hoffman’s autopsy was inconclusive. A toxicology screening is among the tests yet to be completed by the medical examiner, according to a source.
The Academy Award-winning actor’s body was discovered Sunday in the bathroom of his West Village apartment, officials said. A law enforcement official said he was found with a needle in his arm, dead of what investigators believe was a drug overdose.
Dozens of bags of heroin were found the apartment, police said. Cops arrested four individuals Tuesday in connection with the drugs found in Hoffman’s apartment.
