Elderly pedestrian struck and killed in Williamsburg
An 80-year-old woman was killed after a vehicle struck her blocks away from her Brooklyn home.
Margarita Seda was crossing the street at Graham and Grand avenues in Williamsburg when a northbound car hit her on Tuesday about 1:37 p.m.
Police said the driver remained at the scene, but Seda was unconscious and unresponsive with head injuries by the time officers arrived.
EMS took Seda to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police issued the driver with summonses for failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
