Residents in Philadelphia and its suburbs are once again dealing with storm-related power outages Thursday morning.

SEPTA has announced it will suspend all bus service at 10 a.m. due to the nor’easter that has hammered the area with snow.

Eight days after roughly 700,000 Delaware Valley residents lost electricity due to an ice storm, several thousand have once again lost power as the nor’easter barrels through the area, already leaving as much as 10 inches of snow in some places.

PECO reports that nearly 3,000 customers are without power in Chester County. That’s out of about 5,300 total outages in PECO’s service area as of about 8 a.m., NBC10 reported.

More than 80 percent of PECO’s 212,200 customers in Chester County lost power at some point as a result of last Wednesday’s ice storm. Several thousand customers just had power restored Wednesday.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Philadelphia through 6 a.m. Friday. The National Weather Service is calling for 10 to 14 inches of snow by the time the storm clears out.
