Three hurt in fire at South Boston home
Three people, including a firefighter, were injured after a fire broke out at a South Boston building Saturday night.
Fire crews were called to 265 E St. just after 9 p.m. for a report of a fire, according to the fire department. When firefighters arrived at the triple-decker there was smoke coming from the building.
The fire appeared to be on the second floor and was knocked down in about 40 minutes.
Two of the residents were taken to local hospitals and a firefighter was also taken to a hospital for a cut.
Three other people who lived in the building were displaced and were staying with friends and family.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
