Woman shot twice in South Philadelphia home invasion
A 24-year-old woman was shot twice during a home invasion in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia early Tuesday.
The victim awoke to find the intruder, who was wearing a mask and dressed in all black clothing, standing over her inside her home on the 2200 block of Sears Street about 1:30 a.m., NBC10 reported.
The suspect entered the home by forcing open the front door.
The victim, who was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, told police the suspect fled on foot toward Wharton Square Park.
Philadelphia police have not announced a motive for the crime.
