Snow flurries may fall as temperatures drop drastically
So, the bad news first: temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s tonight and linger into tomorrow morning.
The good news is there will be snow.
“We’re mainly looking at a line of showers with the front passing through early this evening, and then we may see some patchy flurries here around late this evening in the overnight as temperatures fall from around 70 to 20 degrees in the morning hours,” said Mitchell Gaines, meterogist with the National Weather Service.
So, essentially, Spring remains elusive. “Temperatures are going to fall drastically here,” she added.
Strong wind gusts, hovering in the 40 mph range and perhaps higher, are also expected between tonight and tomorrow.
“That could cause some tricky driving from time to time with the strongest gusts,” Gaines said.
But this won’t be anything we can’t handle, right?
“There may be a flurry or two,” Gaines said, “But otherwise the main impacts you’re looking at are the gusty winds and the potential for a line of showers and maybe a rumble or two of thunder,” she said.
