Philadelphia firefighters rescue people from roof of burning house
Several people were rescued from the roof of a burning house in North Philadelphia early Thursday.
The fire broke out at the house along the 1700 block of West Lehigh Avenue about 2:30 a.m., 6ABC Action News reported. Philadelphia firefighters arrived to heavy flames and smoke on the home’s second floor.
The firefighters had to rescue several people from the roof using ladders. It took about a half-hour to contain the fire.
The fire’s cause remains under investigation.
