14-year-old male arrested for armed robbery in Roslindale
A 14-year-old male was arrested for armed robbery in Roslindale earlier this week.
Around 9:30pm on Tuesday, police received a call from a person screaming in the area of Fairview Street and Symmes Street in Roslindale. Upon arrival at the scene, a female victim told police an unknown black male grabbed her from behind, threatened her with a knife, and demanded she give up all her belongings.
After a brief struggle, the suspect swung his knife at the victim and successfully stole black Prada briefcase before taking off from the scene, according to Boston Police.
Shortly after, officers recognized a person matching the description of the thief. The theif was positively identified, and his knife was confiscated by officers. Police were able to recover the victim’s missing credit cards that were hidden in the space between the suspect’s cell phone and cell phone case.
The suspect, a 14-year-old teen from Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Delinquency, Armed Robbery and Resisting Arrest.
