European retailer Primark will make its U.S. debut with a store at the former Filene’s site in Boston.

The Dublin-based budget store is expected to open in late 2015, according to the Boston Globe, and will occupy four floors within the historic and newly renovated Burnham Building, which is part of the Millennium Tower project in Downtown Crossing.

There are also negotiations to open as many as eight more Primark stores in the northeast U.S., The Guardian reported.

The retail chain has more than 250 stores in nine European countries, including Ireland, England, Spain, Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands.

“No other retailer in the world suits this location better than Primark,” Christopher M. Jeffries, founding partner of Millennium Partners, said in a statement. “It is a great privilege to be able to bring them to Boston. Our goal is to bring great architecture and great urban centers to great cities. In Primark we have a best-in-class, price-leading fashion retailer that all Bostonians can enjoy.”

In addition to Primark, the Millennium Tower site will also be home to 450 luxury residences and a Roche Bros. supermarket, as well as office space.

“We think we have as differentiated and attractive a proposition in the U.S. as we have in continental Europe and the British Isles. We think we have something special to offer,” said George Weston, CEO of Associated British Foods, which owns Primark.
