Twitter’s on fire after Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration

President Barack Obama is sworn in during the public ceremony by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts as First lady Michelle Obama, and daughters, Sasha Obama and Malia Obama look on.

Thousands of people tuned in to watch President Barack Obama’s second presidential inauguration this morning in Washington, D.C.

Twitter was on fire with comments ranging from First Lady Michelle Obama’s outfit and what Malia and Sasha were wearing, to the president’s inspiring speech.

After the speech, the oath and performances by Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor, it seemed like the true hit of the Inauguration was Beyonce singing the national anthem.

People took to Twitter to praise the singer for her beautiful rendition of the national anthem.

For every couple of tweets posted marking the historic day, there were a few from people who could not be bothered to turn on their television sets. Some noted that they just slept through the inauguration – let’s not forget, it’s a holiday so most didn’t have to wake up for work this morning. Others questioned the point of the inauguration as “Like, he’s just staying president.”

Check out photos and Twitter reaction below.
