New Orleans girl, 4, joins MENSA

Anala Beevers knows all of the states and their capitals, at age 4.

There’s nothing like a 4-year-old to make you feel like the dumbest, least productive human being alive.

Anala Beevers of New Orleans learned the alphabet when she was 14 months old. By 18 months, she had mastered numbers – in Spanish. At age 4, she now knows the location and capital of each state – something we’re not sure we’ve got down in our late 20s.

Beevers is so smart that she was invited to join MENSA, a group of people, mainly grown-ups, who are in the top 2 percent of the population in terms of intelligence. Not only was Beevers invited to join MENSA, but she will also be in the top 1 percent of the group of geniuses.

Her parents wholeheartedly agree that their little Einstein is smarter than them.

“She needs a reality show,” her dad said. “She keeps us on our toes. She’s a handful.”

As for what Beevers wants to be when she grows up? She says she wants to be a nurse so she can help people. We say, Beevers for President in 2052 (if we did our math correctly — Beevers may need to correct us.)

We feel so bad bout ourselves that we’re going to go study a map.
