Emerald Isle a dream spot for ‘poor’ kids
The Obama girls apparently found some or much of their Irish visit to be boring, the pundits comparing it to the Griswold family of “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”
It would have been positive publicity for the Obamas if they had chosen to bring with them, for example, a couple of disadvantaged children who had written an essay on “Why I Would Love to Visit Ireland.”
Showing kindness to a couple of “poor children” might have gone a long way to helping the president look good, which I understand he sorely wants and needs.
