Weiner’s approach to marriage a clue to his approach to office
Re: ‘Cheaters can still prosper’ (Metro, July 30)
Letter writer Owen Duncan sounds confused. What a person does, whether it’s cheating on his wife or stealing money from the city, shows his moral character.
Any married person who puts pictures of sexual parts into cyberspace has a moral code that should make him/her unqualified for political office.
In the first place, it’s stupid, even before we get to immoral.
The fact that a spouse claims to forgive such behavior has nothing to do with voters who need to trust those they vote into office.
Weiner’s wife can’t even trust him in spite of his, inherent in marriage, promise to her. Why should anyone else?
