Letter: Keep calm and consult the Web
Re: ‘A picture’s only worth a thousand English words’ (Metro, Sept. 4)
In regards to Mark and Elena’s letters, it was simple Spanish, easy enough that a reasonable person would say, “Hey, this is an opportunity for me to learn a little about a foreign language” (I certainly brushed up on my Spanish!).
It was a cool way for the paper to highlight its international reach and a great way to show everyone, hey, there are lots of people out there, and the land of the free and the home of the brave embraces all of them — after all, almost all of us in the U.S. are immigrants.
