Letter: Let neither flag nor your patriotism fade away
This Wednesday is Sept. 11, the anniversary of when infamy struck our nation and many lives were taken out of hate for what our country stands for — freedom for all. Twelve years have come to pass, but we must never forget, and generations from now on need always to remember 9/11 and how we came together as a nation.
Furthermore, I firmly believe that as Americans we should fly the American flag on 9/11 outside homes, offices, apartments and stores throughout this great nation of ours. Sadly, these flags, have all but disappeared since that fateful day. Our patriotism was what pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn’t take another attack to galvanize us toward solidarity again.
Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail against all adversity that affects our country. So let’s fly the flag of our country. Remember this: The colors of our country are red, white and blue, and these colors don’t run.
