Letter: Metro captures the absurdity of celebrity
Re: ‘Katy Perry considered suicide after divorce’ (Metro, Oct. 1)
I wanted to let you know how much I look forward to reading “The Word” every morning. Your pitch-perfect take in celebrity gossip brightens what would otherwise be a dreary commute to work. I can’t wait to pick up my Metro each day just to read your column. Thank you for doing what you do with excellence far surpassing others in your field.
The Katy Perry piece was but one more example that captures the absurdity of celebrity, makes fun of celebrity, but still celebrates celebrity that makes your column so good.
