Letter: Czar Christie
Re: ‘So-called “bullies” make history’ (Metro, Jan. 15)
I got a good laugh from Robert Sieger’s letter lamenting poor Chris Christie’s “ordeal by the liberal media.” Our New Jersey governor, a Tony Soprano wannabe, is finally being revealed for the petty, vindictive tyrant that he has always been. And the George Washington Bridge scandal is just the start of what will be exposed.
Mr. Sieger posted a list of American “bullies who are now American icons,” but he forgot many other historical bullies who are also icons, but not in a good way: Caligula, Nero, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Ivan IV, Robespierre, Stalin and many more. You’re right, Mr. Sieger — none of them would have tolerated the teachers union either!
