Letter: Originality is not the point of the story
Re: ‘Jesus movie. “Son of God” makes you pay to rewatch scenes from “The Bible” miniseries’ (Metro, Feb. 28 to March 2)
Based on Matt Prigge’s jab at Roma Downey and Mark Burnett’s movie about the life of Jesus Christ, I am assuming that there is no possible way he watched the entire miniseries. His sweeping generalization about this being a “junk for Jesus” movie is critical in the way of today’s dismissive press toward Christianity and all things themed thereof.
Having seen it this weekend, it was at the very least an opportunity for nonbelievers to have an understanding of the entire purpose of the Bible, and God’s promise to all humanity, if all they do is choose to accept it.
