Northeastern student found dead

A Northeastern University student reported missing around Thanksgiving was found dead on New Year’s Eve, the school announced on Saturday.

The announcement came after a search effort among family friends and peers for Dennis Njoroge, a 21-year-old Kenyan native from Worcester. Police could not be reached for comment.

“Since Dennis’s disappearance several weeks ago, many members of the Northeastern community joined city and state law enforcement officials in a sustained effort to locate him.”Northeastern President Joseph Aoun wrote in a letter, according to The Boston Globe.“We have confirmed through our work with the Massachusetts State Police that the search has now ended.”
