The Boston Police Department has a business tip for all aspiring criminals: Don’t drive around in a gold-colored car if you’re the target of an ongoing drug investigation.
The BPD nabbed four men in Roxbury on Monday night after they watched a man they had eyes on hop into a gold-colored car with a handgun with a serial number filed off.
Officers pulled the car over near Winthrop and Fairland Streets and found a loaded silver Lorcin .25 caliber handgun with six bullets and partially obliterated serial number.
Officers arrested Jose Rivera, 20, of Hyde Park, Darnell Moore, 19, of Hyde Park, Jonathan Vasquez, 20, of Dorchester and charged all three with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number.
Officers arrested Victor Villanueva-Cuadrado, 30, of Jamaica Plain and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License and Providing a False Name to Police.
