Boston Police officers busted a Boston man connected with a shooting in broad daylight on Wednesday.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in Mattapan at about 1:59 p.m. and found a man in his 20s suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police gathered enough information on scene to put together a profile of the gunman and began searching the area. Officers approached the suspect, who then bolted. After a long foot chase, officers subdued and apprehended the suspect. They found a gun in his backpack when they searched it. Patrick Bishop, 22, was charged with assault and battery with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
