A cab driver in Boston picked up a couple late Thursday night from downtown. A few miles later, he was Tased by the couple … and they stole his car.

According to reports, the man and woman started arguing in the back of the cab shortly after entering. When the driver pulled over (probably to shut them up) on Route 93 southbound near Exit 11B, one of the passengers used a Taser to stun the driver and then proceed to forcibly take the cab.

As if carjacking the cab wasn’t enough for the couple, the initial reports said a trooper observed the cab on Blue Hill Ave in Mattapan a short while later. The cab was driving the wrong direction and eventually crashed into a pole.

The cabbie victim is a 49-year-old Weymouth man, who drives for V & A Cab Inc. of Boston. The cab was towed to the State Police Barracks in Boston for further processing.

The couple reportedly ran away on foot after the crash. Police were searching for the couple since last night and investigation results were negative. The investigation was still ongoing at the time of publication.
