Boston Police have located the suspect that is wanted in the investigation of downtown robberies. There have been multiple reports of pedestrians being robbed with a 12-inch kitchen knife. 

Described in a police blog post, officers were on patrol in the area of 39 Boylston St. early Monday morning and saw a man that fit the suspect's description. After an armed robbery on Jan. 30, Boston Regional Intelligence Center requested information of the individual involved and gave a description of the suspect.

Authorities said in the blog post that after further investigation, the officers confirmed that the individual was the 30-year-old suspect, who was later identified as Jose Manuel Lopez. He was charged with armed robbery, assault and battery on an elderly/disabled person and assault with a dangerous weapon.
