Concord police are seeking help in finding a 17-year-old girl who ran away from home Wednesday.

Police say they are concerned for the safety of Marissa L. Medeiros.

Medeiros left her Garrison Road home around 4 p.m. Wednesday and has not been seen since.

She is described as a white female with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray-hooded sweatshirt and may be carrying a black backpack.

Police K-9 units, the State Police Air Wing, firefighters and park rangers have conducted a search of the area near her Concord home. Detectives say Medeiros may attempt to leave Massachusetts. Concord Police plans to work with the FBI to locate Medeiros.

Anyone with any information regarding the teen’s whereabouts is asked to call the Concord Police Department at 978-318-3400.
