Police in Chelsea are seeking out three male suspects who allegedly attacked and robbed a woman on Lynn Street Extension between Central Avenue and Maverick Street over the weekend.

“A woman in her 20s was walking home Saturday night at around 9:30 p.m. when police said she was approached by three men. The suspects allegedly punched and kicked her, then slashed her with a knife before stealing her money and fleeing the scene,” WHDH reports.

The victim reported the alleged attack to police soon after, investigators said.

“I feel like I’m going to have to be really careful, just because it’s happened,” Karyn Padilla, a resident of the neighborhood told WHDH. “I feel bad for the woman, she must be in a lot of pain.”

The woman was reportedly treated for serious injuries at Whidden Hospital in Everett.
