Police urge Brookline residents to stay vigilant after string of robberies

A small square mile area of Brookline has been the scene of several robberies and one attempted robbery this week, and police are urging residents to stay vigilant, WCVB reported.

All the robberies were similar in that they all took place in the evening, and the burglars used windows and backdoors to force entry into homes, police warned in a Facebook post.

All of the robberies have reportedly taken place in the vicinity of Waverly Street, Roberts Street, Greenough Circle, Highland Road (two break-ins), Davis Avenue and Sumner Road.

Brookline residents are encouraged to report anything suspicious by calling 911 or 617-730-2222.
